While you will see the most benefit and improvement to your music education by attending weekly lessons, sometimes other unavoidable events come up during your regularly scheduled lesson time. 

You can now either reschedule or cancel your lesson 48hrs or more prior to your lesson occurring. 

This page details how to do both.

We would ask that students only book a maximum of 2 make-up lessons per term. If you are finding that you will require more than 2 make-up lessons per term, please contact us to arrange a more suitable time for your regular weekly lesson.

Please Cancel or Reschedule your lesson 48hrs or more prior to your lesson.

Without doing this, you won't have the ability to reschedule or use make-up credits for the lesson. 

To reschedule your lesson (48hrs or more prior to your lesson time): 

1. Log into MyMusicStaff.
   All active students have a login. If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgotten Password utility.
2. Navigate to the Calendar, find the lesson you need to change in the schedule, and click on it; a popup will appear.
3. Select "Reschedule".
4. Your teacher's available lesson times will be displayed. Select a date that suits you, and then the appropriate time. 
5. Click "Reschedule", and this completes the process. Your lesson time has been rescheduled!

To cancel your lesson and be issued a make-up credit (48hrs or more prior to your lesson time):

1. Log into MyMusicStaff.
   All active students have a login. If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgotten Password utility.
2. Navigate to the Calendar, find the lesson you need to change in the schedule, and click on it; a popup will appear.
3. Click "Cancel Booking".
4. Write a reason for your teacher and click "Yes". 
5. You will automatically be issued with 1 make-up credit with your teacher. 

To book a lesson using a make-up credit:

1. Log into MyMusicStaff.
   All active students have a login. If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgotten Password utility.
2. You will see, on the Dashboard, that you have make-up credit(s) available. Click the blue "Book a Lesson" button.
3. On the Calendar, ensure that the correct student's name displays (you can select all available students from the drop down on the top left).
4. Click on the date that your teacher has available lesson times that suits you.
5. Click the time that suits you from your teacher's availability, and click "Continue".
6. The Booking details screen will display that you have 1 make-up credit available with this teacher, which will automatically apply to this lesson.
7. Select "Book Now". 
   Your make-up credit will be used to pay for this lesson.

What if I cancel my lesson lesson than 48hrs prior to the lesson starting? 

Lessons cancelled 48hrs or less prior to their lesson aren't eligible for a make-up credit for the lesson, and your teacher will provide you with comprehensive lesson notes instead.

If the 48hr prior window has passed you'll notice some differences to the above process: 

• The Reschedule option won't be available. 
• When you cancel the lesson, there will be an extra checkbox on the Cancel Booking popup, confirming that you understand you are cancelling the lesson outside of the 48hr window and won't be eligible for a make-up.
